Reinstalled FM, Lost Some Customizations

Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager graphs.

FWIW, reinstalling FM meant re-customizing Graph Legend Text and Category Labels - so far. Not sure if missed something at this end ...

Thx

Hi El Wealtho,

If you "uninstall" Fund Manager that will cause your preferences from the registry to be removed, and you would see what you're describing. Typically if you are installing a new version it is recommended to just install the new version, right over the old. Do not uninstall the old version first.

You can restore your preferences to the registry from a *.FMB backup. Use "File / Restore..." and you can select the Global Registry Preferences, and choose to only restore the selected item.
Thanks,
Mark

Had to "Reset" Windows 10, which deletes most apps, then reinstall FM. I gather "Restoring" rather than "Opening" the FMB file was the route to go?

Hi El Wealtho,

Yes, when you restore from a *.FMB file you have the option to include restoring all the global registry preferences.
Thanks,
Mark
