pie chart problem

Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager graphs.

Postby Mary Kennedy » Sun Dec 27, 2020 3:00 pm

I am trying to use pie charts for just a sub-set of my holdings. Specifically, I'd like to display stocks by sector, excluding mutual funds, bonds, and cash. I can't get the cash out of the graph. and it distorts the proportions for everything else. What am I doing wrong?
-- I have unchecked "view hidden investments"
-- I have excluded all "uncategorized" sectors,
-- have looked at individual cash holdings to see if they have been categorized into a sector and can't find any such anomalies.

Hi Mary Kennedy,

You can't filter out or exclude items in a graph. If you're plotting a pie chart by sector, it will show the sector breakdown of all investments in whatever sub-portfolio you're plotting. If you want to exclude some investments (like cash), you'd have to move everything else into another sub-portfolio, without the cash, and then plot that other sub-portfolio.
Thanks,
Mark
