"Other"

Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager graphs.

When I run a pie chart for symbol, despite having a symbol in every investment (I have a lot), I end up with one of the pie pieces that I see in the list as "Other" and its at the bottom of the chart legend list and shows 16.2%. When I click on that portion of the pie, no detail pops up like all the rest of the pie pieces. When I run a pie chart on "Investment" I get a similar result, but is 25.8% as other.
Are these investments that are small percentages that add up to that "other" percent? Can I find the detail of them?

Hello Ilikemybu,

Yes, there is a limit (user-adjustable under "Graphs / Options / Display... / Maximum Number of Slices in Pie Graphs"), and once you hit that limit, additional items are put into this same bucket of "Other". For example, if you have 150 unique symbols, the first 99 will have their own pie slice, but symbols 100 - 150 will be lumped together into the "Other" slice.

You can create a report, and list by symbol or investment, and see all the details. There is no limit in reports, but there is in this graph.
Thanks,
Mark
