moving average calculation

Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager graphs.

Hi, was trying to plot a 200 dd moving average, so I choose 28 weeks (7x28=196) . I got a line totally different form the one I can see on yahoo finance on the same stock for the same period. So I tried to choose 40 weeks ( under the assumption the the program uses 5 days a week logic) , and the line looks like the yahoo one.

In conclusion , to have a 200 days MA, what do I have to choose ?

regards
giovanni

Hi giovanni,

You would choose 40 weeks. Each week has 5 trading days in it.
Thanks,
Mark
