Overlaid Portfolios

Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager graphs.

Postby tokyo_trader » Wed Jun 13, 2012 9:09 pm

Hi,

Is it possible to overlay 2 separate (master) portfolios in a graph for printing/comparison purposes?

If not, is it possible to combine both master portfolios as sub-portfolios into a new master portfolio?

With thanks

Scott

Hi Scott,

You can't overlay sub-portfolios from different portfolio files (*.mm4). It is best to only have and use a single portfolio file (*.mm4) and create as much hierarchy as you need to have as many sub-portfolios as you want.

Yes, you can combine multiple portfolio files into one, and then have them as separate sub-portfolios. You can do this in the Portfolio Editor window, using copy/paste. You can copy/paste sub-portfolios across portfolio files. The Portfolio Editor tutorial describes exactly this. See:
