Problem with Scrolling X Axis Limited to Data Range

Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager graphs.

Postby Djobydjoba » Thu Sep 22, 2022 1:07 pm

Hi Mark,

The option "Zooming or Scrolling X Axis Limited to Data Range" may not be working quite right. Indeed, when we scroll one day / week / month / year later, when the last price is reached it should stop scrolling, and the display date range should be the last day / week / month / year to date. But what is displayed instead is the next day / week / month / year after the last price, so an empty graph without any prices.

Same in the other direction, when we scroll X axis one one day / week / month / year earlier and when the first price is reached.

Hi Djobydjoba,

I can't reproduce this problem. What graph type are you looking at? Did you verify with the Data Register and "Prices" data type what your first/last price points are?
Thanks,
Mark

In all graphs with prices it should be reproduced.

Here's an animated screenshot. I press "e" repeatedly to scroll X axis one week later.

The scroll ends with the 22/09/22 (today, which is the last price) > 29/09/22 range, so this is out of range. It should ends with "week to date" range instead IMO (15/09 > 22/09/22).

Hi Djobydjoba,

Thanks, I now see this too. We'll also get this fixed.
Thanks,
Mark

Great! I've been dealing with it for years but it's only been two days since I realized that it is not normal!
