Dividends in transaction report

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby gerhardps » Wed Jul 10, 2013 1:27 pm

When checking out a transaction report for an account today I realized that the it was pulling dividends for stocks I had sold a long time ago. It doesn't look like it is adding the cash from the dividend to the account, but hits up in the transaction report as "retrieved dividend .17 per share" for say CSCO. Is there a way to supress dividend retrieval for stocks sold, but still maintain for stocks owned and dividend paid into the account? I am using yahoo historical and not pulling data from a brokerage account feed.
thanks

Hi gerhardps,

Yes. Turn off "Investment Properties... / Internet Retrieve / Update Price". Since you're using the price update to update dividends, this option will prevent either the price or distribution from updating for this investment.

You can also do this in bulk using "File / File Operations / Hide Sold Investments...".
Thanks,
Mark
