Hi TigerLa,
If you don't have any transactions within this time period, and your recorded price 3 months ago is the same as your recorded price 6 months ago, these 2 yields would be the same. Look in the Data Register under the "Prices" data type to see what prices you have recorded 3 and 6 months back from the ending graph date. (It sounds like you're looking at the yields above a graph?) By default, yields for terms less than 1 year are not annualized, they are for the time period of the yield being reported. (3 and 6 months in this case...) So, if they are both the same yield number, the 3 month is roughly twice as good as the 6 month, because you earned the same amount in half the time. If you were to annualize the 3 month yield, you would roughly multiply it by 4 (ignoring compounding to keep things simple). To annualize the 6 month yield, you would only be multiplying it by 2. If you'd like to change this behavior you can force all yields to be annualized under "Options / General Preferences... / Yields".
