Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby ben.com » Fri Oct 10, 2014 2:04 pm

Hello,

The default currency of my portfolio is €.
I've created an investment on the US stock Exchange ; so I put the currency of this investment in $.
When I do a transaction on this investment, the window indicates "total $ : xxx". So I think that I must put the price of share in $. But when I do so and I put the exchange rate in "specify exchange rate to default", my cash account is debited for the amount in dollars and not in euros :?

please help
Thanks

Hello,

Is your default currency assigned to EUR? See the "Investment Properties...". If you buy something in USD, and your default cash account is in EUR, the exchange rate will be used to deduct your EUR cash.

In case you haven't seen it, we have a video tutorial on how to set up multiple currencies:

Thanks,
