Default Cash Account

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Hi Mark,

My default cash account is EUR. How can I create a new investment in cash USD?

Hi Aad,

You can create a new investment using "File / New Investment..." or by right mouse clicking on an existing sub-portfolio, and choosing "New Investment...".

If you have cash and investments in multiple currencies, it can sometimes be helpful to create a new sub-portfolio for each currency within an account, so your USD investments can use/generate USD cash, and your EUR investments can use/generate EUR cash. Each sub-portfolio can have its own default cash account.

Hi Mark,

Thx for the swift response :D It works well now. The Capital Gains Report however excluded the cash accounts in the default settings. That could be easily changed in Preferences.
