Default Cash Account

My default cash account is EUR. How can I create a new investment in cash USD?

Hi Aad,

You can create a new investment using "File / New Investment..." or by right mouse clicking on an existing sub-portfolio, and choosing "New Investment...".

If you have cash and investments in multiple currencies, it can sometimes be helpful to create a new sub-portfolio for each currency within an account, so your USD investments can use/generate USD cash, and your EUR investments can use/generate EUR cash. Each sub-portfolio can have its own default cash account.

Hi Mark,

Thx for the swift response It works well now. The Capital Gains Report however excluded the cash accounts in the default settings. That could be easily changed in Preferences.
