Transfer between Subaccounts and Brokers

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby dbender54 » Wed Jun 15, 2016 1:18 pm

I have a 401k account with a broker that has been converted to cash and will be moving the balance to a new account at a different broker. What process do I follow within Fundmanager to transfer this balance? Will making this transfer result in any loss of performance history within the portfolio reports?

Thank you.

Hi dbender54,

When you purchase new shares, you could either keep them in the same sub-portfolio, or create a new one. If you keep them in the same sub-portfolio, then you can have a performance history over the life of both accounts. Another option would be to create another level of sub-portfolio hierarchy, like:

Code: Select all
- 401k
  - old account
  - new account

and if you want to see the performance over the full history, run it at the 401k level.
Thanks,
Mark
