Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager
by jmm » Sat Jul 23, 2016 3:08 pm
Hi, now that Bloomberg quotes for funds has been dropped, I cannot find any other alternative that gives me quotes for funds quoted in Luxembourg (and there are plenty). If I cannot find a solution, I will have to drop usage of Fund Manager altogether. Any suggestion?

Hi Mark, thanks for the info but how do I find the Morningstar symbol, I cannot see it anywhere? Also it means that the historical price will not work...

Hi jmm, Visit the Morningstar BE website to look up the "id" value used by Morningstar BE for your fund, and enter this as the symbol in Fund Manager. For example, if you enter your ISIN (LU0282880003) in the search box, and then click on the EUR priced version, you will see this page: http://www.morningstar.be/be/funds/snap ... F00000VSRGThis is the address, shown at the top of your web browser. It isn't in the page itself, it is at the top of your web browser where the address of the page you're viewing is shown. That is where you'll find the value for the "id". In this example it is: F00000VSRG This will get you the most recent quote, but yes, unfortunately you can't get historical quotes with this quote server. You can however get historical and current prices using the new FondsCheck quote server instead. For this server, you would use the symbol of: 120902992 for this fund. You could then get both current and historical pricing. For instructions on using this quote server, see: https://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/int ... FondsCheckwhich will explain how to find the "secu" value for your funds. This is the 120902992 in this example.
