Mark - I'm using FM 2014.
I noticed some securities where I have manually unchecked the retrieve price seem to be getting turned back on, without any doing on my part.
do you have any recommendations here?
thanks

Price retrieval keeps turning back on

Hi flight,
Could you maybe be using the "File / File Operations / Hide Sold Investments" command? That can turn on/off the price retrieve property, based on whether the investment is considered sold or not.
Hi flight,
That command can modify both the "Hidden" attribute, as well as the "Retrieve Price" attribute of investments. On that dialog, notice the 2 options: Turn off price retrieve for sold investments Turn on price retrieve for non-sold investments So, if you run this command, and enter a date range where some shares are owned in an investment, that investment is considered non-sold. Any non-sold investment will have the "Retrieve Price" attribute turned on if you leave on that option.
Mark - Is it strange that I have only recently experienced this problem. I've done Hide Sold Investments all the time, and never had trouble?
Maybe its the "Turn On Price Retrieval for Non-Sold Investments". Is there any reason to have this checked off? Presumably you'd already have it turned on anyways if its an open position
Hi flight,
Yes, that option will turn back on retrieve price. It has always worked this way, nothing is really new here. You may want that option on if you've re-purchased something previously sold.
