Retreving historical prices

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

I am trying to set up a potfolio but can't retrieve any prices from Fidelity before November 2017
Is that a problem with Fidelity or me? I had hoped to go back 2 years.

Hi Creede,

I believe you're asking about historical transactions (not prices)? Fidelity is a bit unique in that you can only get 3 months worth of transactions per request, but they have much longer available. You can get more than 3 months from Fidelity by doing this:

Use the "New Portfolio Wizard" to create a new sub-portfolio, and "Retrieve Transactions" only. Do not "Retrieve Transactions and Positions", as in this case FM will make an adjustment to get your current balances correct. After you set up the sub-portfolio and do your first transaction retrieve, do additional transaction retrieves (Edit / Internet Retrieve / Transactions...) 3 months at a time. When you do the retrieve, make sure you only request for 3 months, and work your way backwards in time by doing multiple retrieves.
