Transaction retrieval doesn't recognize investment names

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby jc76fundman » Sat Mar 24, 2018 12:16 pm

I am trying to configure Fund Manager to download transactions from a financial institution. The transaction retrieval logic is not able to match the investments at the financial institution with the existing investments I have setup on Fund Manager. It wants to create new investments to store the transactions.

I tried to remedy the problem by changing the investment names on my funds to exactly match the names of the website. That did not fix the problem.

Is there any more configuration changes I can make to help fix the problem? Is there an alternate approach to take?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

John

ps I am using:
Fund Manager 2014
Personal Version: 2014.13.8
Quote Module: 518
Transaction Module: 229

Hi John,

Incoming transactions are matched up by the CUSIP investment property. Edit the CUSIP on your existing investments to match the CUSIP being reported by your broker. If you aren't sure, you can right mouse click on a transaction in the "Preview Importing Transaction" dialog, and look at the "Details..." to see the CUSIP.
Thanks,
Mark
