average price cash / distr/shar issues

my cash account has an error in that the average price is less than $1.00 and I have an unrealized gain.

my cash transaction settings have been:
price is $1.00 on all;
end date / beg date setting varies from one day to months' on these cash transactions. We reset those dates to have a one day separation and there was minor change in average cost and the distr/shar field neared zero which also made changes to avg. price and unrealized gain. However we are still out of balance.

Hi Gary,

Where are you viewing "average price"?

If all your transactions and closing prices are recorded at $1, and you have an unrealized taxable gain, then check for any "Account Fee" or "Return of Capital" type of distributions. Those 2 transaction types will adjust your cost basis.

and YES there were two return of capital and one account fee transaction corrected those and problem SOLVED
