Generic Transaction import using sub-portfolio acct. number

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby gjc@mtlucas.com » Mon Dec 17, 2007 2:57 pm

When I import transactions from Schwablink or .qfx files I use the sub-portfolio accout number to specify the account the transaction belongs to. Is is possible to import transactions from a generic file using the sub-portfolio accout number instead of the sub-portfolio name?

Hello,

Unfortunately this isn't a generic import option today. It should be though, and we'll look into adding it for a new release. You can force all the transactions in a given generic import file into a particular sub-portfolio, by choosing that sub-portfolio as the destination during import. This has the drawback that you have to do one sub-portfolio at a time though.
Thanks,
Mark
