FINRA Bond Prices

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby AssetHound » Wed Nov 16, 2022 9:10 pm

New to bonds. If I go to FINRA, and search for a CUSIP, I get the symbol for the bond and a screen showing current trades and pricing. If I put that symbol in FM to get current pricing each day, I get an error saying that nothing was found. It is a new bond.

Is there a lag before new bonds start showing up in the price retrieve function at FINRA?

Thanks.

Hello,

This server works a bit differently. You need to record the "ticker" as the symbol, and not the CUSIP. You can get the "ticker" by looking in the URL when viewing the bond on Finra. For some more instructions, see:

Thanks,

Yep. I did that. I got the symbol -- DOW5502196 -- from the FINRA site.

Never mind. I see what you're saying. I thought the symbol was the one to use, but I see the "ticker" is different. Thanks.
