Exporting Transactions

I am suing the following format to export transactions from FM to Generic CSV.

MM/DD/YY,SYMB,TRAN,ANUM,BNUM,CNUM,"MEMO"

Some of the values in FM are "negative" values and show up in red in FM with a minus sign in front of the Total Value column (for example a money fund redemption from my money market account) but when exported to CSV they don't show up as "negative" in my spreadsheet. See attached 2 screen shots - one screenshot with how the transaction looks in FM and one screenshot with the result in my spreadsheet (see the values 18.42 and 27.58 in the attached screenshots).

I can't find anything in the Format info online on the FM website that would allow me to have the "negative" values show up in my exported CSV value as negatives. Is this possible? Thanks.

Hi Bsrr,

The information about them being negative is stored in the transaction code of SELL. Since it is a sell, they show up as negative in FM, but the generic format has all positive values, plus the SELL transaction code. If you needed negative numbers for some other reason, you could write an equation that looks for SELL as a transaction code, and then manipulate your other numbers.
