Prices/Dates updates in graphs.

Hi Mark...when I update a portfolio of graphs some of them update to today's date (as desired) and some show the date of the last update in the "To:Drop down box".

For the ones that do not update I click the "View Dates" button and change the "To rop down box" to today's date and click OK button. I do this one at a time for each graph that did not update.

I have tried clicking the "Apply changes to all open investments" but then my "From date " changes, and I get a straight line at the start of some of my graphs.

Please advise.

Hi AK,

On the graphs that don't change to today, is there a price recorded for today? Look in the Data Register under the "Prices" data type. Graphs will only "float" the ending date when the ending date is the default ending date, which is the latest recorded price date on/before the current date. For example, if today is Oct 20, and your last recorded price is Oct 19, the default ending date is Oct 19, not Oct 20.

When you use the "View / Dates..." dialog box, notice the drop-down has entries that end in "to date", which means to the default ending date. If you pick one of these, or set the ending date to this date, when you use "Apply Changes to All Open Investments" and check "Recalculate Pre-Defined Range for Each Investment", it will float all of them to their own default ending date, which can be different, depending on the date of their latest recorded price.

Mark...I will try your suggestions on my next update.

Say I wanted updates to all graphs in the portfolio to be from "Earliest price" to "Today's date" for each investment. I have set the "Pre-Defined Ranges" As: "Earliest price to date" for all investments and saved the file.

In the View>Dates pop up box which toggles should be checked:

Apply Changes to All Open Investments? On or Off?

Use Same Dates? On or Off?

Recalculate Pre-Defined Range For Each Investment? On or Off?

Hi Mark...to follow up on your question of Oct.20th on the graphs that don't change, there is a price recorded for today.

When I set the To: Date in the View/Dates box to today's date, all From ates changed from "Earliest Price To Date " to "Custom".

I did the update (PRC), and all investments updated to today's date, and updated closing prices.
