Fidelity Taxable Account MM Dividend Processing

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby B2B_Investing » Sat Mar 01, 2025 5:07 am

Hi Mark,

I noticed that retrieving transactions from Fidelity that interest transactions on cash money market accounts (Specifically the Fidelity Government Money Fund) do not process as expected. For retirement accounts, they are retrieved as reinvested dividend. For the non-qualified account, it is retrieved as a dividend that is not distributed which is throwing off the balances. Is there a setting or configuration I missed somewhere?

Jason

Hi Jason,

Is it maybe because of a difference in your default cash account assignment, while having on the "Advanced Options... / Default Cash Distributions are Reinvested" option?

If not, look in the log file "Help / Logs / Transaction Retrieve (Parsed)..." and see if there is a difference between how these distributions are being reported by Fidelity.
Thanks,
Mark

Thanks Mark

it looks like somehow the default cash account was blank for the that one. (Not sure how as I set the account up in FM more than a decade ago.) Much appreciation.
