Performance on Transfer Between

I feel like I'm missing something simple...but, I used the transfer between function and used the FIFO method. Now, my performance is all askew - it appears that FM is using the transfer date in the performance calc. So when I transfered some low cost basis positions, they appear to have 100% increases in one day...because the acquisition date is the transfer date. I think. What am I missing here?
Hi smacrae,
What figure are you looking at that you're calling "performance"? Is this some field in a report? Maybe you can give me an example of what you're seeing, and I can help better.
I'm refering to the returns that appear across the top of the screen on the graphing page. However, when I run the "Time Weighted Return" report for the same asset - it looks correct. This report has the same time frames as the graph (3mo, 6 mo, 1yr, etc..) - but the values are different. This effect happens on the asset I transfered in both the "out" account - where performance looks negative and the "in" account where performance looks positive. Thanks
Hi smacrae,
Did you record the transfers at the correct market value on the date of the transfer? It sounds like the market value of the transfers is too low, causing a poor performance on the "out" investment, and a high performance on the "in" investment. The ROI yields use the market value in their equation to solve for the yield. Try editing the transfer in and transfer out transactions, and take a look at the market value. You can do this in the Data Register.
