Retrieving Future Prices

I have no problems retrieving future prices. However, I would like to know, whether it is possible to retrieve Future prices with a symbol which indicates always the nearest month for the respective future. This way it would not be necessary to always change the months in the symbol. I know from my experience, that it was possible on Bloomberg or Reuters at the time I was still in the business.
Does anyone have an idea about that.

Sorry, but I don't have any information on this... My best suggestion would be to use your browser and go to the quote server, and see if you can do a symbol lookup. I'm guessing you probably have already tried that.

Hi Mark,
I have no problem retrieving future prices. I have all symbols I need and I have all letters for the expiry months. However, if one wants to follow future prices over a longer period i.e. underlying futures in a structured products, one has to change the expiry months letters in the symbol every couple of months or so. What I am looking for, is a symbol that always gets the price from the nearest expiry month of a future. I know, that it exists in Reuters, but unfortunately Reuters is not a quote server for Fund Manager.

Understood. Unfortunately, I don't know if this exists on any of our supported quote servers. Maybe not... You might submit this as a question/suggestion to one or more of the supported quote servers. For example, you can click on the "Help" link from a quote on Yahoo, and follow the links to contact them.
