Can't retrieve UK prices online - and multiple manual update

Hi - I am currently evaluating FM and find it very impressive. However, I am having difficulty retrieving 2 prices from the UK servers MSN and Yahoo. I have found the appropriate symbols but they are not being recognised. Any advice very welcome.

I should say that both these are life insurance-linked products, so it may not even be possible to retrieve them.

Which brings me to another problem. I have found the Multiple Manual Update facility but, given I have only these 2 investments to update out of a large portfolio, is it possible to set up a default 'Multiple Update' view that allows me just to update these 2 without having to manually switch off all the others??

Hi Roy,

For the price updating issue, use your web browser, and go to the quote servers used by Fund Manager, and see if they have the quotes you need. Also, check what symbol they use. Not all quote servers use the same symbol for a given security. You can find links to all the quote servers here:

When updating multiple manual prices, all investments in the currently selected sub-portfolio are made available. There is no way to select only a sub-set of these investments to use in this dialog. You could create another sub-portfolio, called "manual update" or something, and only put those 2 investments in there, but if you sub-total reports by sub-portfolio you'll see this layer of hierarchy in your reports, which you may not care for.
