Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby cheapsk8 » Mon May 16, 2011 1:57 pm

Hi Mark,

I just got PortfolioCenter formatted downloads enabled on my institutional account at IB.

It looks like IB only gives access to daily downloads.

I would like to reconstruct account data back to Jan. 2010.

They also offer monthly downloads in Quicken, MSmoney, Captools, Gainskeeper formats.

If I use one of those other formats could I import that data into Fundmanager to reconstruct the data?

Hi cheapsk8,

Yes, I believe the MS Money download is an OFX formatted file, so you can import that with "File / Import / Transactions / Open Financial Exchange (*.OFX)..." in Fund Manager.
Thanks,
Mark

Or, if FM is set as the default program for OFX files, it opens as the default when an MS Money file is downloaded.
