Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby achaia » Wed Nov 14, 2012 6:20 pm

Hi!

I would like to know what is the easiest way of uploading Brazilian Domestic Bonds to a portfolio.

Brazil's Treasury Department published historical prices and rates in XLS at http://www3.tesouro.fazenda.gov.br/tesouro_direto/historico.asp, but I am wondering if there is any automatic source, and if there is (at least in Yahoo/Google) I am not finding the correct tickers.

Thanks in advance.

Hi achaia,

I'm not aware that any of our supported quote servers offers Brazilian Bond prices. You can try to find them using your web browser, and visiting our supported quote servers listed here:

http://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/intrtv.html

If you can't find them listed on any of these servers, then you can use the generic price import to import from a CSV file. You can save the data from that site to a CSV file, and then use "File / Import / Prices / Generic...". Press the "Help..." button in that dialog for instructions.
Thanks,
Mark

OK.

Now with Bloomberg, the only provider that has historical data for Brazil's FI Market, I need to use a Index as an Asset. Namely: BZACCETP:IND (Brazil CETIP Rate Accumulated), this is Brazil's Risk Free Asset.

Either by just fixing this index as it were an Asset, or by fixind a percentage on it, like:
120% * BZACCETP:IND.

Any idea if that is possible?

Thanks again.

Hi achaia,

Yes, you can scale a retrieved price by a fixed factor. See "Investment Properties... / Internet Retrieve / Multiply Retrieved Price By:".
Thanks,
Mark
