I can Confirm using the ISIN as you suggested now works.

Has there been any joy in being able to download historical prices for UK Unit Trusts? This is the one big gap in functionality for me.

Thanks

Hi dlapish,

Not that I am aware of, but I haven't looked into it for a while. Maybe Yahoo now offers these on Yahoo (Historical)? You can check with a web browser. If they do not offer the historical quotes you need, and know of a server that does, please let me know. For links to all our supported quote servers, see:

Google has data on some of the funds I am following but I can't find a way to download it. For example, Henderson Strategic Bond Fund A Inc, ISIN GB0007495293. Google has the historical data (see: http://www.google.com/finance/historica ... 0007495293) but whatever symbol I enter in the properties box results in a download error. Can you show me how to download the historical data on this fund?
Thank you.

Hi dlapish,

When you look up a quote on Google, and then click "Historical Prices" on the left menu, some symbols offer a "Download to Spreadsheet" link over on the right side. For example, you can see this link from this page:

http://www.google.com/finance/historical?q=INTC

Unfortunately, they don't have this link for all quotes, including the one you are looking at:

http://www.google.com/finance/historica ... 0007495293

If you wanted, you could copy/paste the prices displayed on this page into a text file, and then import that text file. For example, the prices look like this:

Nov 11, 2010 1.27
Nov 10, 2010 1.27
Nov 9, 2010 1.27
Nov 8, 2010 1.27

So, you could use the generic price import, with the format string of:

MM DD, YY NAV

and you would need to "Specify" the symbol in the import dialog.
Thanks,
Mark
