Historical Exchange Rates

Hello,

The last time I asked this question, I was told that Yahoo cannot import historical exchange rate and I have to import it manually from websites like Oanda.com in CSV format.

Is this still the case? Any luck with say Bloomberg or other public sources?

Hi realbg,

Yes, this is still the case. When setting up a new exchange rate, you can get historical rates from Oanda, and then going forward you can update the daily exchange rate using Yahoo. See:

Why not indicate this clearly in your help file? I may be new to the program, but spent close to 3 hours trying to figure out why updating currencies did not work (while all other updates do). Very frustrating experience, sorry to say this.
