T Rowe Price transaction retrieval

I'm trying out Fund Manager. I've input my T Rowe Price mututal fund accounts via general csv, and retrieved historical prices. Now I'm attempting to retrieve transactions from the T Rowe Price website, but I get a sign-on failure. I've selected T Rowe Price from the list, and input my user name and password. I can log on the TRP website, and they say use the same user name and password to download transactions. I have the account number on my statements in each fund's Properties and the CUSIP in the symbol and CUSIP box. How about the Account Number on the Transaction Retrieve Settings? I've left it blank and also tried my TRP Investor Number (seems to be a reference no. to all my accounts vs an account number for the individual funds). Any suggestions?
Hi engrx,
If you are getting a signon invalid error, then for the selected broker/fund company the username/password aren't being accepted. It does not matter about the account number, CUSIP or anything else at this point. The transaction retrieve server uses their "OFX" server, which is separate from their web server. Usually the username/password is the same, but if you can't get past the signon I would double check the broker, username, password, and if you still can't get it, call them up, and ask for help. They will probably say they don't directly support Fund Manager, but Fund Manager uses the same method as Quicken for getting your transactions, so just ask them to make sure your account is enabled for Quicken, and verify what username/password you should be using. One other point is that there are 3 T Rowe Price related OFX servers, please make sure you've selected the appropriate one.
