Cannot download prices from MSN

I have been running with FM for a couple of months now and have successfully downloaded my (UK) prices from MSN - but am now unable to do so.

Last successful download was 31/12/2010. I tried today on this PC for the first time since then and got 'Cannot update any investments' error message. As far as I know, nothing has changed - MSN set as default quote server, FM 10.8, Quote Module 420, Transaction Module 138. I have tried copy and paste of fund symbols from MSN website and also made FM an 'exception' to Windows firewall - to no effect.

In the last few days, I installed a second copy of FM on to a PC in a different location using a restored backup of data and settings to get started. Everything worked fine except, again, could not download prices from MSN.

Can you give me an example symbol you are trying to retrieve? If you go to MSN's website, can you look up this symbol okay?

Mark - thanks for getting on to this.

An example is GB:GB00B09DMJ2 for Artemis Strategic Bond.

I should stress that I was successfully downloading MSN prices up to 31/12/2010 using symbols of this format but then found I had lost this capability when I tried again a few days ago.

Hi Roy,

Thanks. I was able to reproduce the same problem. Version 421 of the quote module is now available that fixes this server. See "Help / FM on the Web / Check for Updates..." to get the latest price module.
