Option Assignments

I have a covered write program. How do I enter the transaction for the option itself that I sold into my transactions?
The stock part has adjusted from my broker but I need to record and reduce the option position

The option itself is tracked as its own investment. When you sell an option, record a sell in an investment to track that option. If the option expires or you sell it, record a sell for whatever proceeds you received for that option. For more on recording option transactions, see:
