Hi Alan,
All transactions are entered in the native (assigned) currency. If you want to display your data adjusted to the default currency, you can use either a varying or constant exchange rate. For instructions on how to set this up, see: http://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/tuto ... video.html I didn't understand the question about historical prices. You can record historical exchange rates for as far back as you want. For tips on getting historical exchange rates, see: http://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/faq_ ... wnload.php
Hi Alan,
You don't need to enter an exchange rate. You should record the dividend in the investment's assigned currency. So, if your investment is in currency X and your default is currency Y. Enter the transaction in currency X. Your exchange rate investment tracks the daily exchange rates, but it isn't necessary to enter an exchange rate with a transaction, as the transaction is recorded in that investment's assigned currency.
Hi Alan,
Yes, that is correct, it will use the exchange rate on the appropriate date when converting.
