Problems accessing transactions and data ... again

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Mark,

It appears that the problems that I complained about about a month ago
are more serious than what a reboot can fix. I have been able to retrieve
transaction data form Merrill Lynch, but have been able to do so only
after several trials. Now, I find I cannot download transactions from Vanguard
after several reboots.

Something is seriously amiss in the last 3 months. I have never had these
problems in 6-7 years of using FM. The errors I get are always

System error code: 2
Message: The system cannot find the file specified

We NEVER EVER touch IE. Strictly Firefox.

As a non-trader as far as mutual funds are considered, this is not a serious
issue (though it take me back to Managing You Money in 1998), but I would
be loath to go manual on the Merrill Lynch account.

There are no other internet problems -- we have full and ready access to
BofA and have been able to carry out all our transactions.

Any help in resolving this would be most helpful. Love FM .. would hate
to leave it.

Hi sj,

Fund Manager utilizes a component of Windows and IE for internet communications with brokerages. It sounds like you may have IE set to "Work Offline". Please try starting Internet Explorer, and making sure the "Work Offline" is not checked. In Internet Explorer, this is under the "Tools" menu, you will see a "Work Offline" option.
