Retreive Prices

Unable to retrieve prices on Bridgeway mutual finds BRLGX and BRSGX and the Vanguard REIT VGSLX since the middle of July 2013. These symbols can be easily queried on the web with a browser at either Google or Yahoo.

All three investments are set to use the default quote servers and I have tried Yahoo and Yahoo Historical and Google Historical. When Yahoo is used a message dialog appears briefly showing a list of the symbols to be retrieved and then disappears without, apparently, doing anything. When Google is used, the Retrieve dialog box appears and shows each of the symbols in turn retrieving quotes at so many a sec but the prices are not updated in the investment data file. Prices on other stocks are apparently retrieved without problems.

All of this is on FM Personal 12.8, Quote Module 451 and Transaction Module 182.

I just test retrieved the symbol BRLGX from Yahoo and Yahoo (Historical). Both updated the quote properly. How are you verifying the prices aren't being updated? Use the Data Register and look at the "Prices" data type. Also, make sure you are sorting the list by Date. You might also check the recorded symbol, to make sure you don't have any extra white space in front of or behind the characters. For other tips, see:
