Price retrieval samples

Is there a consolidated place to find current and historical price retrieval samples, especially for funds and bonds across the different servers?

spent most of time just searching across the documentations (some parts are cryptic) and the forums

much easier if there was more "meat" with actual examples for this page:

What kind of samples are you looking for? Do you mean sample ticker symbols for different quote servers? The general idea is you just find the ticker symbol as used on whatever quote server you want to use. Record that symbol in your Fund Manager investment properties, and then you can retrieve.

actual examples

e.g. for a fund named ABC you could use either

1. morning star the code they use is ABC1234 and the website shows this

or

2. bloomberg and the code is AAABC123:US

a good template to follow is the much improved MSFT documentation, especially for excel

there is always a window at the bottom that shows the figures, and the formula and the expected outcome


this is useful for self-help because can try out the given example first, and work backwards to the actual security trying to find the right settings
