Currency doesnt display correctly

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Hello,

I recently made a transaction on a Japanese equity (in Yen, my default currency is USD)

I entered the transaction as I bought it in JPY (amount of shares, share price and total value in YEN.

In the portfolio editor window the total amount is correctly displayed in USD, as well as the number of shares.
But the price instead of the original value in JPY is displayed in USD

When I click to edit the transaction I see that my entry still is correctly displayed in YEN, but the data register for the equity displays the share price in USD.

I have mapped the currencies according to the guide on your tutorial. I don't have a similar problems with other investments in other currencies, as the price remains the same as the original currency but only the value is adjusted to USD.

Did I miss something whilst entering the investment?

Hi Nicolas,

It just looks like you have "View / Exchange Rate Adjusted" turned on, so your data is all being displayed in USD amounts (your default currency). The Buy/Sell transaction dialog always displays in the native currency (Yen), as that is how you enter all transactions/prices, but the display everywhere else is controlled by your exchange rate settings and whether or not you have on the option to display everything exchange rate adjusted. Your exchange rate settings are set under "Options / Currency Settings...".
