Multiple .dat files for same bond

Hi:
I posted in topic (viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3893) that I was having the same bond report out different YTM rates in different portfolio and you suggested I look at the price history. When I made the price history the same, the YTM became the same in the report. I then looked in the FM directory and noticed 3 file for this one investment named:
14912L4D0_113460532.dat
14912L4D0_113460532_1.dat
14912L4D0_113460532_2.dat

I have a similar problem with 2 other bonds. Should the sub-portfolios be using the same .dat file?

Hi sbfree,

No, they should each have their own investment file (*.dat), so you can record separate transactions. It sounds like your is setup correctly. For more on this, see:
