Bloomberg quote server

Hello Mark, I use bloomberg for selected indices and haven't noticed any restriction to updates the last few days so I haven't updated the quote server or the new software update for fear of losing those capabilities. Can you readd the bloomberg quote server to the updates since it appears to work fine for some of our needs.

Hi Frank,

I am sorry, but we cannot offer a feature that violates their terms of service. They are pretty clear about it. If you see their TOS, it says:

You shall not use or attempt to use any “scraper,” “robot,” “bot,” “spider,” “data mining,” “computer code,” or any other automate device, program, tool, algorithm, process or methodology to access, acquire, copy, or monitor any portion of the Service, any data or content found on or accessed through the Service, or any other Service information without the prior express written consent of BLP.

There are many other quote servers out there you can use, including the new Quandl servers which seem to offer many indices to choose from. You can search here:
