Historical prices not retrieved (Yahoo)

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby lucav » Sun Mar 17, 2019 7:55 am

Hello All,

I am having problems retrieving historical (etf) prices.
I have always used Yahoo "(historical)" but it seems to have stopped storing historical data for some funds. The current quote is retrieved correctly, instead.

I have problems with all my etf from the italian (.mi), and swiss markets (.sw)
Using eqqq.mi as an example.

Historic quotes stop at Sep 13, 2018, on yahoo
https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/EQQQ.MI ... ?p=EQQQ.MI

I tried looking at other historical services (eq wall street journal) but I am having more than a little problem to either find the correct symbol to use in fundmanager or to actually retrieve the data.

This is the webpage on the italian stock market for eqqq.mi (tickers on the bottom right)
https://www.borsaitaliana.it/borsa/etf/ ... 12&lang=en

I would appreciate any help/pointer on how to get historical prices in fundmanager (again).

Thanks a lot,
LV

Hi LV,

Since Yahoo doesn't have these prices (as seen on their website), you'll have to get them elsewhere. I took a look on Wall Street Journal, and they do have this quote. This server is a bit different on how you have to record the symbol, but instructions are here:

https://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/intrtv.html#WSJ

For your example, the URL is: https://quotes.wsj.com/etf/IT/MTAA/EQQQ
So, you would use the symbol: etf/IT/MTAA/EQQQ

I verified this is retrieving historical prices properly.

If you only want to change the investments that aren't retrieving from Yahoo, change the quote server for these under "Investment Properties... / Internet Retrieve", so you don't have to change all your symbols.
Thanks,
Mark

Thank you for the quick answer!
I had missed the WSJ option (and its symbols, I had just tried with EQQQ even if it was obviously not appropriate)
