Yahoo vs Historical Yahoo

I have been using a secondary portefolio (update.mm4) in which I open a single investment that I want to update historical price range without updating the rest of my investments in the main porteforlio. This has been working great for me.

Now suddenly, when trying to update my main portefolio with internet retrieve setting at Yahoo (not Historical) , I keep getting the Historical Yahoo pop-up (asking for date range).

Is there a setting I can change for that main portefolio?

Hi Erik,

Check that under "Options / Internet Settings..." you just have "Yahoo" selected for the default quote server. If this doesn't fix it, then you probably have overridden the default quote server for one or more of your investments. To check, create a custom report at your top level sub-portfolio, and list by investment. Add the field "Quote server". This will allow you to quickly see the setting for all your investments. If one of them has something besides <Default Server>, edit the properties of that investment, and under the "Internet Retrieve" tab, set it back to <Default Server>.

Also, a tip for you: Instead of creating a new portfolio, you can retrieve for only select investments from within your main portfolio. To do this, just right mouse click on the investment, and choose "Retrieve Selected Prices". With this method, only the selected investments will be retrieved, and not all the other investments in your portfolio.
