Transaction Import

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby Bsrr » Tue Jul 16, 2024 12:43 pm

I have been able to do Generic CSV transaction imports in the past but I must be missing something obvious on this one because I can't get it to work. Keep getting the error message "Could not find all the specified files in the importing file".

I have attached a portion of the CSV transaction file and below is my input format. Can you advise? Thanks.

SYMB,NAME,ITYPE,ASSET,GOAL,TRAN,MM/DD/YY,ANUM,BNUM,CNUM,MEMO

Hi Bsrr,

The reason is you have the $ symbol on figures in the file on the ANUM and CNUM figures, but you don't have a $ in the format string. I'd suggest removing the $ from your numbers in the CSV file. Also, for future reference, you can look at "Help / Logs / Generic Transaction Import..." after a failed import, and it will usually give you some more tips on what went wrong.
Thanks,
Mark
