BLK Merger same Symbol new CUSIP

Good morning
BLK underwent a merger. The new position has the same symbol but different CUSIP when transactions are downloaded. When I go to reconcile, the new position is titled
BLACKROCK INC COM (BLK) Cusip 09290D101
the original position is
BLACKROCK INC COM USD0.01 (BLK) Cusip 09247X101
and the account doesn't reconcile.

If I let FM create a new investment it wants to overwrite the old data file for BLK. I'm afraid that doing so will make me loose the dividend history.
Would you suggest how this should be handled?

Hi Scott,

It sounds like the simplest solution is to just change the CUSIP of your existing BLK investment. You can do this in the "Investment Properties..." dialog.
