Transaction retrieval error TIAA-CREF 401(k)/403(b)

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby jccccj33 » Fri Apr 11, 2025 12:39 pm

I haven't been able to download transactions for my TIAA 403(b) since mid to late March. Internet search showed that Quicken users were having the same problem at about that time, don't know if they still are. Anyone else experiencing problems with TIAA (401's not the brokerage, different servers)?

The workaround is to use the Quicken download a link to which is found in the Statements and Documents menu on the landing page.

Quicken no longer has an interface called:

TIAA-CREF 401(k)/403(b)

They have "TIAA" and "TIAA-CREF Brokerage Services". Do you know which one you need to use? It looks like TIAA is the same as what used to be called "TIAA-CREF 401(k)/403(b)". TIAA times out in Quicken also. So, this interface isn't working in either Fund Manager or Quicken. The "TIAA-CREF Brokerage Services" appears to be responding normally though.
Thanks,
Mark

It's not a brokerage account.
Just a 403(B) retirement account

So, if you log into your retirement account via their website and look for instructions on retrieving with Quicken, what interface do they tell you to use? If it is the "TIAA" interface, that is also not working in Quicken currently.

Yes, that PDF says to use "TIAA" for "– TIAA retirement accounts, directly held mutual funds, trusts and aftertax annuities". TIAA isn't currently responding from within Quicken either.
