Vanguard account retrieve

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

I am using a trial version and I am retreiveing accounts from Vanguard. Several have worked but one account keeps giving me an error message- account not found. Have you run into this problem before? Is there anything special I should tell vanguard Tech support to look for?

Hi Francis,

You might try retrieving with leaving the account number empty, and only enter your username/password. This will then give you a listing of all available account numbers associated with this username when you do your first retrieve. It might be that the account number is formatted slightly different than you have it entered now.

Mark,
I talked to vanguard today about this problem. They said they only support intuit but other software vendors may be using the same download as quicken. Vanguard is doing it's own clearing on Brokerage accounts. They still us the old Pershing numbers for now to reference the accounts. They said all Vanguard clients should have received a letter cross-referencing these numbers. I'm not sure when the numbers will change. When Vanguard client go to put in their brokerage accounts they will need to find the old Pershing number to retrieve information.
