Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby realbg » Fri Jan 29, 2010 12:59 am

Hello, again,

I have one more quetion about foreign exchange booking.

I have created Exchange Rate investments with Yahoo's feed to let it convert prices of foreign stocks into USD. And I have created this on Master Porfolio.

If I create sub-portolio that contains foreign securities, and if I want to see P&L converted in USD, then do I have to 1) create the same Exchange Rate investments in each sub portfolio OR 2) it will automatically adjust for exchang erates referring to the investments I created in Master portfolio?

If I need to create Exchange Rate investments in each sub porfolio, then do I have to do it manually or is there a way to do it easier?

Thank you, again.

Hi realbg,

Your currency assignments are global. They are not specific to any one sub-portfolio. Your exchange rate investments do not have to be located in any specific sub-portfolio. It is usually best to keep them in their own, separate sub-portfolio. If you haven't seen it, please see:
