Hi Mark,
I enter manually the transactions of several accounts. My regular process is to open the Data Register dialog and to navigate from this dialog through the investments and through the sub-portfolios (accounts) to enter one by one the new transactions.
At the bottom of the Data Register dialog, the Share Balance and the Market Value of the selected investment are displayed. These are handy info to check with the account statement. It would be even more handier if the value of the default cash account (if defined) could be displayed here too, because to be sure all is OK, you have to check that the final value of the cash account after the operation matchs with the statement too. So there would be no need to access the cash account from another way to see its value (like having to see that in the Portfolio Editor with the need to manage its active subportfolio/account)
