"Random" price/time range selection mode for a stock

I have a recurring and very irritating problem that has gotten much worse lately.

At unpredictable times moving the cursor results in a "mode" for selecting a date and price range. The only I can find way out of this "mode" is to quit and restart FM, irritating and a waste of time.

For each stock I set a price range (a top to bottom price range of 5x) and time range (generally 2y) to be always displayed to make it easier to monitor performance between stocks. When FM gets into this mode it un-sets my settings requiring me to re-set the page again.

I've looked for a setting that could cause this behavior but can't find one. This is either a bug or some odd setting.

When it happens next time I'll make a screen shot to send to explain what I am saying if that helps.

Hi Wayne,

There are some keyboard shortcuts for adjusting the date/scale in graphs. Maybe a keyboard button is accidentally getting selected? Do you recognize which dialog box is being displayed? Or, is there a dialog box? A screen shot would help...

Virtually 100% certain no keyboard buttons involved and no dialog box.

So, Just started FM and before I did anything the same thing happened again.

I uploaded a screenshot as an attachment (Screenshot 2025-02-28 164716.jpg) and clicked on "Add the file" but don't see it in Preview. What am I missing?

If you are able to see it you will see an outlined box area on the right side half of the screen that follows the cursor as it moves.

I can email it if necessary.
