Is there a way to track vesting employee Stock Options in Fund Manager instead of entering them manually as they vest?

Quicken has a neat section that allows you to enter the original date and price and time period and then "vests" them as they come due.

Thanks

Hi rdg,

Sorry, no, we don't have such a feature. Thanks for the feedback though.
Thanks,

Hi,

The previous poster wanted to track vesting, but I had a different question. Apologies if it is obvious.

How can I enter a vested employee stock option so that I can track "above and below water" value?

An example. Suppose I have 1000 vested options of Company XYZ. These options have a Grant Price, of say $20.00. When the current Stock price of XYZ is $25.00, then the "above water" value is 1000*25 - 1000* 20 (or 1000* (25-20)) which equals $5K.

But if the stock price is less than $20.00, then value would be zero.

Thanks for any tips or help.

Hi Aaron,

Unfortunately, we don't offer a way to do this either... If you are above water, you can keep track of the net profit by recording transactions in 2 investments, one negative cash amount for your cost, and one for the current market value of the shares. The net result is the difference, and how much they are worth to you. This only works if you stay above water though... Employer granted options is an area we hope to improve in a future version.
Thanks,
Mark
