Some Suggestions

Hello,

Here're a few suggestions for futur improvements.
1) A command to retrieve historical prices from the last known price date, up to current date. It would permit to "fill the gap" of last missed prices with ease.

2) More flexibility for yield terms. Be able to define yield terms in days or weeks too. Last day or last week TWR yields are important indicators (for me at least)

3) Could all fields available for the custom reports be available for the columns of the portfolio editor too ? It would be great .. at least i would like to see column fields with TWR yields

4) More possibilities with notes and description for porfolio and investment. More space for long text (resizable windows), hypertext links recognized, editing capabilites. Like an integrated RTF editing module ?

5) Regions labels (distribution by countries) and Sector labels (distribution by sectors of activity) for investments.

6) Customizable keyboard shortcuts. They are morever not really standard in FM, and not easy to remember. An example : F5 is for All Data (used normally for refreshing), whereas F4 is for Repaint Graphs. Some commands really need shortcuts (an icons probably) : Hidden investments/Portfolio, New Window, Retrieve prices, Apply same date range for all graphs...

And perhaps more minor :
- An option defined for each custom report to display or not the Report Settings window when it starts, to change some parameters, like date range or portfolio.

- In the portfolio editor, by selecting one or more investments and then executing Graphs as > Investment Overlay, the selection should have been taken into account, but it's not.

- In a graph window, something like Ctrl+ mouse weel would be handy to cycle between the number of graphs to display (1-4-9). And why not Shift + weel to cycle between portfolios..

That's all for now !

Hi Djobydjoba,

Thanks very much for the helpful ideas. This does help. A couple comments:

2) In a custom or portfolio performance report you can use the "between" version of yields to get yields for any date range you want, by setting the date range of the report. Also, above the graphs, the 'gph' yield does the same thing.

5) You could use "Options / Category Labels..." and set them up for this.

The mouse wheel can be used in graph windows. In a portfolio based graph, the mouse wheel scrolls through the active sub-portfolio. For all the keyboard and mouse shortcuts, see:
