Every time I open FM, module 429 installs again. Anyone else having this situation?

Hi Joe,

What do you mean by module 429 installs again? There isn't an installation process for the quote module. Can you tell me exactly what you see when you start up Fund Manager?
Thanks,
Mark

Thanks for replying Mark,

I get a spash screen "currently using quote module 423, latest available is 429"
I also can go to check for updates and it is still there.

Hi Joe,

After you see this, does it ask you if you want to download it? When you do, does it seem to install successfully? It should either say it succeeded, or give you an error. Can you tell me what it says after you okay the download/install?
Thanks,
Mark

Mark, The installation is always successful. I open FM to get quotes, the quotes update and then I get the message there is an update available. presently is 423, 429 is available. Do you want to install? (wording may not be actual) It does this every day.

P.S. sorry for the delay of getting back to you,

Joe

Hi Joe,

What version of Fund Manager are you using, and what version of Windows are you using? Are you running Fund Manager as the same user that does the update? Please make sure you have version 11.9 (the latest) of Fund Manager installed. If installing 11.9 doesn't fix it, you might want to give us a call and we can do a quick web meeting and see if we can't figure out what is going wrong.
Thanks,
Mark

Mark,
I checked fm.exe and version was 11.0.0.0. Down loaded 11.9 and all looked upto date by checking for updates. Checked FM.exe again and still ver 11.0.0.0. Exited and restarted FM and it's back to the problem of wanting to download 429. Running xp pro sp3. Not sure what you mean by "same user that does update". I am administrator with name of Joe.

Just tried downloading 11.9 again and spotted the problem, an extra folder for FM. My short cut pointed to the wrong folder. Very sorry for using your valued time Mark.

Hi Joe,

Great, glad you figured it out. I should have remembered and mentioned that if you were using an early 11.x version there was a bug where the quote module would say it updated, but really didn't... Installing 11.9 should fix this.
Thanks,
Mark
